Amrita Jain
Patron
Amrita Jain is a senior early childhood development specialist and social sector leader with over 30 years of experience working for the rights and well-being of young children from migrant and vulnerable communities. She holds a Master’s degree in English Literature and a Diploma in Early Childhood Development, bringing together strong academic grounding and extensive field experience.
She spent more than three decades with Mobile Creches, including serving as Chairperson (2017–2023), where she provided strategic and governance leadership and contributed to strengthening quality childcare systems at scale. Her work focused on early childhood curriculum development for children, strategic capacity building of stakeholders and frontline workers. She has also co-authored around 40 children’s books and developed story-based learning resources.
Amrita is the National Representative to the World Forum Foundation on Early Childhood and Country Lead for Childhood Education International. She advises government initiatives such restructuring of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) and collaborates with Women and Child Development departments. She is the Patron of Development 360, supporting strategic direction and innovation in the development sector.
